Introducing: The Dean’s List Tour — OHIO

If you haven’t noticed a new wave in the creative industry yet, let us put you on to two key elements:

The old saying goes, “it’s not what you know, it’s who you know,” but the new saying goes, “it’s not who you know, but who knows YOU!”

Who you know is your network but who knows you is a reflection of your brand’s level of presence in the public eye. When you are able to master expanding your network and raising your brand awareness simultaneously, you can say you’re on the way to reaping the many benefits that come along with being proactive in any professional industry.

At our biggest event of the year, AMplified Communication presents a unique platform offering both networking opportunities and fresh entertainment. On March 29th, 2014 we will host New York City’s The Dean’s List Tour concert at Ohio University’s Baker Theater. The Dean’s List Tour is an entertainment movement that was founded one year ago by Nigel Scott Morris in New York City. This concert is catered to showcasing underground musicians, performers, and entrepreneurs who are looking to gain exposure and build their connections in the collegiate consumer market. There will be performances from artists based in both Ohio and New York City.

The Dean’s List Tour is currently sponsored by Def Jam Records, Reebok, C&C Entertainment Firm, Get Out Studios, Creative Now, and the list of companies continues to grow. There will be promotional giveaways as well as the opportunity to network with entertainment industry representatives who represent mainstream names such as Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj and Lady Gaga. The Dean’s List Tour will also feature vendor booths from local businesses, offering the opportunity to connect for future business ventures and relationships. Come get exposed to some of the freshest lifestyle brands as well as some of the most innovative young leaders of our country!

Auditions for Ohio’s performers at the Dean’s List Tour concert were held in late November at Ohio University. Among the contestants were musicians, poets, and dancers from Cleveland to Cincinnati as well as students from right here in Athens. With a spectacular turnout, selecting the final contestants was a heart-wrenching task but we managed to select the top 5 performers and a headliner who we believe will fit the scene of the show and would greatly benefit from the exposure of this specific concert.
